When I found out “Yaroslavl” is the new prompt for the Carpe Diem, memories brought me back not to something read or heard in the history lessons back at school. On contrary – to something more recent with a connection to both – railroad and Yaroslavl. Yes, the professional ice hockey club, member of the KHL “Lokomotiv Yaroslavl” (the name of the club is derived from its owner, the national railroad operator Russian Railways) and the air disaster on September 7th, 2011, making it the darkest day not only in the history of the club but in the ice hockey history in general.
