This week on Carpe Diem Special there is another haiku, written by Soen Nakagawa, to inspire us:
* * *
Into the zendo
Twilight maples
Come dancing

The following one is mine – I tried to stay close to the same mood and spirit:
* * *
in mirror’s face
intricate wrinkles
reflecting life

Carpe Diem Haiku Kai
Ah, you’ve made my day. Ese. A haiku about a face that’s been pickled by botox just wouldn’t have the same graceful ring about it.

so lovely. there’s a story we tell, secondhand from Joseph Campbell (I think): A child asks, ‘Grandma, what are all the lines on your face?’ and Grandma answers, ‘Those are wrinkles and, if you’re lucky, you’ll have them too.’
