Carpe Diem Tan Renga Challenge *Moritake’s “a fallen flower”*

This week Carpe Diem Tan Renga inspiration is a beautiful haiku by a Japanese poet Arakida Moritake (1473-1549) and our goal is to add a second stanza to it. Here I go:

a fallen flower
flew back to its perch
                                            a  butterfly                      (Moritake)

careless in sunlit meadow
                      cat’ s nap uninterrupted           (Ese)
