Today on Carpe Diem our source of inspiration is another haiku, written by Yosa Buson:
* * *
on the shortcut path,
stepping through water to cross the meadow
in the summer rains.
* * *
My mind wandered in various directions, still…I tried to stay close to the same mood:
* * *
lone traveler
his home is everywhere
along the path
* * *
weary fly
trapped in lacing of spider web
-the last shortcut
* * *
some short-cuts work out better than others.
I enjoy them both Ese.
