Carpe Diem Haiku *Issa “skylight!”*

Today our source of inspiration on Carpe Diem are haiku, written by Kobayashi Issa:

* * *
don’t be mean
to that horsefly
skylight!

* * *
from the tea water’s
water pipe also comes…
a firefly

* * *
while swatting a fly
today again…
the mountain temple bell

* * *
Our Carpe Diem host Chèvrefeuille challenges us to compose a haiku about the smallest creatures on earth – insects. Here’ s my attempt to stay close to the same mood and spirit:

* * *
hairy legs
streching after mid-day nap
old tarantula

* * *
confused
on the back of sphynx cat
family of fleas

* * *
summer picnic
attracting cloud of mosquitoes
slap! slap! slap!

* * *
