deep in snowdrift
i wrap my arms around old pine
winter’ s last dance
* * *
droplets of birch sap
dribbling down the rugged bark
spring reaches forest
* * *
forgotten forest path
hidden in crinkles of chanterelle
a spruce needle
* * *
colourful mud
not a leaf in the forest
spared by autumn frost
