That grape looks more than good enough to eat.

so, what was it, wine or rakia? 🙂

Hehee, I was thinking why couldn’t there be….both! Though must admit I am more of a wine (not whine!) person 🙂

I vote for wine, but rakia can be good and very needed sometimes 🙂 I love the vivid image of your grapes and your haiku. Did you pick them?

Thank you, Paula. I am with you – hand up, voting (waiting for) for wine 🙂
I did pick them, yes – right on time before wasps, catching the perfect sweetness.

Do you also take part in the grape pressing/squeezing process? What sort is it?

I think it was Lipa (Липа) but there wasn’t too much of “harvesting” involved since they were growing in my friend’s garden. So squeezing…well, mostly with tongue 🙂
I did take a couple of photos of Bulgarian vineyards some weeks ago but this close-up seemed to fit the haiku better.

I love the lavender hues in these ripe grapes – so tempting.

Nice – is rakia like grappa (a kind of schnapps distilled from wine)?

Yes, the same direction 🙂
