This week our inspiration on Carpe Diem Special is another haiku, written by a pre-Basho haiku poet Iio Sogi (1421-1502):
* * *
life in this world
just like a temporary shelter
from a winter shower
* * *
Here’ s my attempt to stay close to the same mood and spirit:
* * *
last ray of sunlight
embraced by the horizon
yet another day
* * *
Carpe Diem Haiku Kai
I like the feeling of the day that passed here.. very vivid

It’s an every time wonderful experience to read your responses on this CD-Specials Ese … another nice haiku in the same sense, tone and spirit as the one by Sogi … and it’s again a masterpiece. Chapeau!
