Black & White Sunday: Lines

Lines create an experience beyond the literal. There is so much potential in losing and finding the line again. Like letting go and being awakened. Lines, like music, create potential for mystery. /Linda Saccoccio/

  1. Oh my dear Ese… it took me a while to figure it out – it is a tree trunk, isn’t it? What an amazing capture and edit! No wonder Suzanne came to admire – judging from her presence it must be a tree πŸ˜€ Thank you for this!

    1. Thank you very much, dear! I am glad it wasn’t completely obvious at once. πŸ™‚ There are very many birches in Latvia, and we are also fans of the birch sap to be collected before the first buds appear. But yes, I know how they can be not…too pleasant for allergies.

        1. It is collected, then kept for a while in smaller or bigger bottles (with a bit of raisins, cloves, tiny branches of blackcurrant bushes) to be used as a perfect, refreshing drink on hot summer days. Some people have perfected their ways so well that the result tastes like a champagne. πŸ™‚

            1. πŸ™‚ It is a home-made stuff so don’t have to worry about any rubbish added. People don’t prepare it in too big quantities (since the period for gathering the sap is pretty limited) and mostly – for “family use”.
You should try, Paula – might even enjoy the taste! πŸ™‚
