I love the picture and poem as one. The picture has a quality of texture that I like. I’ve been trying to figure why and I think I have it now. There are hundreds of subtle almost optical illusionary horizontal lines created I suppose by the waves. They seem to bind or hold the birds in place and onto the water. Except one. There is only one bird in the photo that has broken free and in my imagination that is the one “carrying away” and upon whose wingtips there is glitter. To where is the passage?
