Līgo Haibun Challenge – Quote Prompt

The day has come and so has the Līgo Haibun Challenge! Welcome everyone! Last week there were so many beautiful haibun – pure pleasure to read, to go along on the journeys you were taking us, to discover and re-discover. It is always difficult to choose the 3 Honourable Mentions but we try and here’re the ones from the past week:

Suzanne – A classical haibun exploring discovery. Beautiful both in style and concept.

Angieinspired – A haibun richly full of onomatopoeias. A very full haibun.

Jrosenberry – wonderful rhythm, and very much an interweaving of tamed nature.

Jules – A classical, meandering haibun

Also Joe for great introspection! Passion uncovered.

It is very hard not to specifically mention Twoscamps, Peripatetic Eric, Freya, Nicole, Sun, Anja etc etc, as everyone brought so much into it. One of the haibun not mentioned, by Twoscamps, had a real effect, and Anja’s was also so beautiful. Nicole and Patricia gave warm, comforting thoughts – everyone left a thought to ponder over.

Because of Halloween at the door, the quotes this week have darker shades about them but it always depends on the way we look and what we end up seing, doesn’t it? Here are two quotes, chosen by Nightlake – prompts for this week’s Līgo Haibun Challenge:

“And then there are the times when the wolves are silent and the moon is howling.” ― George Carlin

“Perfect order is the forerunner of perfect horror.” ― Carlos Fuentes

Let your imagination flow and don’t forget to add your haibun to the Inlinkz collection, please! Good luck! Next week we want to organise some giveaways, so stick around!
