Friday Fictioneers: 100-Words Story Challenge *A Touch Of Mystery*

teds-view

My fear of dentists, cemented deep down inside during the years of the Soviet childhood, slowly started to disappear with each new visit to his practice. Like tartar from teeth – step by step until there was nothing left to worry about.
Almost hypnotised I looked at his muscular arms in the tone of warm bronze, admiring how gentle and attentive they turned out to be. An experience to be enjoyed.
There was only one thing that made me wonder – my missing panties after every anesthesia. I kept returning to try to solve this mystery one day…

Recently I put my list of 10 most sensual countries. At 6 there is Zambia.

“We stepped outside the bar to an open space between Azalea trees, just behind the market, the citrus flavours light in the air.”                                     /from Butterfly Thy Name, Ese Kļava, due out late spring/

Carpe Diem Special *Soen Nakagawa’s “awoken from a nap”*

There is maybe a bit unexpected, yet original choice of Soen Nakagawa haiku to be our inspiration on Carpe Diem Special.
To this haiku Soen Nakagawa adds, “The word “penis” had never been used before in a haiku, and I was criticized for exposing such a thing! But a penis is just a penis. Nowadays there is confusion regarding sex. But in truth, sexual energy, like digestive energy, is God’s fine energy, Buddha’s energy, cosmic energy.”

Aiming my penis
out over the steppes
awoken from a nap

Although not using the “p” word, also Basho has written a haiku of the same mood:

* * *
ought one laugh or cry
when my Morning Glory
withers up

* * *

And now it is my turn – I tried  to stay close to the same spirit:

* * *
beer bong contest
dodging queue at restrooms
sigh of relief in rain

* * *
sultry afternoon
shudder of waking manhood
traced by my lips

I want to do with you what spring does with the cherry trees…

Every day you play with the light of the universe.
Subtle visitor, you arrive in the flower and the water,
You are more than this white head that I hold tightly
as a bunch of flowers, every day, between my hands.

You are like nobody since I love you.
Let me spread you out among yellow garlands.
Who writes your name in letters of smoke among the stars of the south?
Oh let me remember you as you were before you existed.

Suddenly the wind howls and bangs at my shut window.
The sky is a net crammed with shadowy fish.
Here all the winds let go sooner or later, all of them.
The rain takes off her clothes.

The birds go by, fleeing.
The wind. The wind.
I alone can contend against the power of men.
The storm whirls dark leaves
and turns loose all the boats that were moored last night to the sky.

You are here. Oh, you do not run away.
You will answer me to the last cry.
Curl round me as though you were frightened.
Even so, a strange shadow once ran through your eyes.

Now, now too, little one, you bring me honeysuckle,
and even your breasts smell of it.
While the sad wind goes slaughtering butterflies
I love you, and my happiness bites the plum of your mouth.

How you must have suffered getting accustomed to me,
my savage, solitary soul, my name that sends them all running.
So many times we have seen the morning star burn, kissing our eyes,
and over our heads the grey light unwinds in turning fans.

My words rained over you, stroking you.
A long time I have loved the sunned mother-of-pearl of your body.
Until I even believe that you own the universe.
I will bring you happy flowers from the mountains, bluebells, dark hazels, and rustic baskets of kisses.
I want to do with you what spring does with the cherry trees.

Recently I put my list of 10 most sensual countries. I will go through the list over the next days, to reveal why I  chose these 10. At 8 there was Armenia.

I, with a deeper instinct, choose a man who compels my strength, who makes enormous demands on me, who does not doubt my courage or my toughness, who does not believe me naïve or innocent, who has the courage to treat me like a woman. /Anaïs Nin/
