without papyrus
still writing my letter to you
in sun scorched sand

without papyrus
still writing my letter to you
in sun scorched sand
* * *
* * *
sunburnt sand
sweat bead between my breasts
reaching oasis
* * *
scent of green coffee
rising above soft peaks
desert moon
* * *
lost among sand waves
i long for a crisp breeze
sea of memories
* * *
Today our source of inspiration is a haiku, written by Chiyo-Ni:
* * *
the dew of the rouge-flower,
when it is spilled
is simply water
* * *
The following one is mine – an attempt to stay close to the same mood and spirit:
* * *
desert oasis
shimmering veil of mirage
melts in sand
* * *
* * *
last dance
echoes between legs of bar stool
i slip off my shoes
* * *
soft peaks of sand dunes
caressed by moonlight waves
ignited bodies
* * *
entangled
sudden breeze in my hair
first hint of dawn
* * *
* * *
race of raindrops
down my window pane
stroked by breeze
* * *
lost between sand dunes
longing for a crisp breeze
sea of memories
* * *
* * *
rake patterns in sand
frog jumps from stone to stone
-pond is illusion
* * *
I think there has been more sand than dirt on my path but see for yourself…
