  1. Great haiku. I like the word pairs (oak tree)(growth rings)(road home)(fingerprint disappears). Only shelter is on its own. Maybe shelter in the centre is sheltering the other words? Or maybe it is sheltered by the others?

Another thing I like is that the first two lines are in the same order as in the photograph. Oak tree at the top, and then left to right in the photo, growth rings (the tree trunk), shelter (the building), the road home (the path that is sort of visible. I’m not sure what to make of the fingerprint disappears. Maybe it has something to do with coexisting with nature?

Really nice photo. The building looks very cool. What is the roof made of?

    1. It’ s fair to say there is sheltering as well as being sheltered itself. The best interaction my mind could have come up with in that very moment I think. 🙂
The fingerprint part…for me it’ s all so cohesive that even each one being so different, vivid, still can’ t survive without coexisting. With each other as well as with nature.
The dried&pressed reed roof as well as the house is a part of the Latvian Ethnographic Open-Air Museum. Does appeal to my aesthetics. 😉
I am glad that you liked, Andy! Thank you.

Did you read the WordPress article on getting good comments. I think I linked it to my Circle page. It was awesome, and Elizabeth talked about going deeper with comments – or not commenting at all. I still like to say thanks, but I try to add something of value to it, even if it’s thanks for something specific.

          1. I am sorry for approving this just now as well as your comment above. I do love comments, just for some reason Akismet blocking system had put these 2 and a couple from other bloggers in Spam. Was blocked yesterday myself and that’ s when discovered and finally approved.
You have made the Līgo Circle of Appreciation really beautiful and I am genuinly happy to see more and more people becoming a part of it with your help.
Haven’ t read the WordPress article yet but will do.

Thanks from retrieving me from the depths of Spam!!! It’s a mystery, but it may because I used to throw my own articles in the spam folder when they came up after being posted somewhere. Thanks for the nice comment. I am truly enjoying the circle. I haven’t been back to your site, though to really check out your recommendations. As you can see, I’ve been really busy. I worked all day yesterday, and Friday evening. So next week! – Which is now this week!!

Very nice! I love the photo and the haiku. My attempts at haiku have been just that attempts but as time allows I hope to try a few more this year.

    1. Thank you. Must admit I do like them both as well. 🙂
Haiku…yes, it’ s something that I enjoy writing as well as reading, letting the meaning settle in with time. There will be more from me, I am pretty sure about that.
