This time on Black & White Sunday Challenge a guest blogger Debbie Smyth inspires us to think of how much going monochrome lets the viewer concentrate on the key elements of the image without being distracted by the colour of the photography.
So, here it is…letting the shapes shine through…
The eye searches for shapes. It searches for a beginning, a middle, and an end. /John Charles Polanyi/

This is beautiful Ese. I like them both: the drop of water on the pepper, the vibrant colours in the first shot and the delicate shapes in the second π It is a privilege to have this response from you π

I couldn’ t decide between 2 completely different shots but this seemed to fit the theme better. And, yes…can’ t deny this surely is one of my favourite close-up shots. It was a pleasure to be challenged like this! π

Great photo – the black and white does draw attention to the shape. I love the drop of water. π

Great contrasts. the black and white has a sci fi look about it – (I’ve been watching too many X Files lately)
