Ese’s Weekly Shoot & Quote Challenge – Loneliness

My challenge is my passion – a photo you have taken and a quote, attributed to its author, and of course related to your image. Every week on Sunday I will post a new prompt.
And…I will be sending a few of you a free copy of my book, Butterfly Thy Name, each week, in due course – when it’s finished!

I want to thank my fellow bloggers who have already become a part of this challenge. Everyone’ s welcome to join! All you have to do is:
– create a post of your own with the title Ese’s Weekly Shoot & Quote Challenge – Loneliness;
– include a link to this post also for others to find you.

Let your ideas flow and enjoy!  Ese

Prompt 4 – LONELINESS

Language has created the word “loneliness” to express the pain of being alone. And it has created the word “solitude” to express the glory of being alone. /P.Tillich/

I decided to go monochrome with this prompt – can’t wait to see where it will take you…

  11. The quote and the photos are beautiful together. It was really interesting looking at each of them from the POV of “loneliness” and then reframing to the POV of “solitude”. It’s such a subtle distinction but it makes a world of difference.

    1. So true – looking at the photos from 2 different perspectives, inner state of mind&soul I believe we see them a differently. Even if only a bit. Thank you and you are welcome to be a part of the challenge with your own take on “loneliness”.

  15. Been doing a lot of reading about folks who are ‘introverts’ (liking solitude… as in me!) I can’t ever remember feeling lonely. Then again it also means I tend to like going my own way and not following the crowd with challenges… I enjoy seeing yours, but intend to stick to going it without prompts.

    1. Yes, i think it’s the most important thing – when being alone to enjoy solitude and not to slip anywhere close to loneliness. Your own way is beautiful, Gunta and always a pleasure for eyes, mind and soul. AND…whenever you feel like picking a challenge out of the blue, you are welcome to participate. 😀

  22. Nice challenge Ese, though it will bring some sad photographs too. Beautiful photographs especially the lonely dog. My take -http://amaltaas.wordpress.com/2013/09/10/eses-weekly-shoot-quote-challenge-loneliness/
