Beauitiful haiku and painting. I remember seeing a movie based on this painting. Don’t remember the name of tge movie, but I think the model for the painting is played by Scarlet Johansen.

I love the concept of adding that sheen by a brush-stroke.. For sure the sheen of Vermeer can never be reproduced – it’s unique.
